this pain i feel inside
like the waves of the coming tide
pulling me further under
so far down i have to wonder
will i ever break free
from the scars you cannot see
the pain that slowly grew
till i felt nothing new
it all feels so fake
how much more must i take
i cannot see when this will be ending
for my heart is still in need of mending
this everlasting blight
is darker than the night
i wish i could just fly away
from this ever darkening day
